People forget that Bob Sheppard was also the Giants PA announcer. And I may be going out on a limb, but I'm going to take a guess that Wellington Mara was a nicer boss than the convicted felon who owned the Yankees. Anyway, the great Artie Lange had a funny bit on Sheppard and Lawrence Taylor. Lange said that LT was so dominant and was in on every tackle, and as a result every Bob Sheppard call ended with the words "And Taylor". Sheppard would announce: Dorset for two yards... tackle by Carson... Banks... and Taylor....

Lange thought it would be cool if Sheppard followed LT around and announced everything he did. It went like this: "A Dominican Hooker.... An 8 ball of coke...... and Taylor"
