A couple of people have asked me to comment on Lawrence Taylor's arrest. Here are my thoughts:

About 10 years ago, a friend of mine had a sister visiting New York from England. It was her first trip to America. We showed her around the town and got to talking. She starting telling me her thoughts on how horribly America had treated Native-Americans throughout history. I got into it with her and told her that I disagreed with her but besides that, even if I did agree with her I would never tell her. I told her the reason I wouldn't publicly agree with her even if I thought she was right was because I am not in the business of agreeing with foreigners when they bash my country to my face. Ever. Go do it with someone else. America is my family, and I keep criticism of the family within the family.

When it comes to Lawrence, I feel the same way. I'm not going to bash him. Ever. He is the greatest sports figure of my lifetime. He was the Babe Ruth of defensive football. The greatest player in the greatest sport. He came into the pros when I was 15 and retired when I was 27. So I was old enough to see it all, and young enough to have it impact me. And speaking as a Giant fans-he was ours. So no, there will not be any LT bashing here.
