Technological advances have brought us many positive things. The fact that I am able to communicate this way is unbelievable. But there is a downside as well. One aspect of life that suffers because of technology is our attention spans. They are much shorter. One click of the mouse and we are on to the next story or video. The end result is you have to get your message across fast if you want to be heard, understood or remembered.
And that is even more true in politics. Politicians need simple phrases they can say over and over again to drill into our rapidly decaying brains.
With that in mind, the Stoop has come up with a slogan that like-minded politicians should use when talking about our illegal immigration problem. It's easily understood, catchy, and memorable. We know we need to secure our borders. And the only thing that can work is a wall. A 2000 mile wall. And regarding the wall, this should be the talking point:
IF WE BUILD IT, THEY WILL NOT COME
