There is a story that has been recently reported that I find deeply troubling. Its regarding the desecration of the remains of Ted Williams.
If true, those who engaged in this despicable activity should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
It saddens me that in death Ted Wiliams has become a national joke.
What does it say about us when our young kids know everything about Kanye West & Lindsay Lohan, and the only thing they know about Ted Williams has to do with his remains?
They know nothing of this great man's life, but everything about what has happened to his corpse since his passing.
Do you think its appropriate that in death Williams is fodder for the Leno/Letterman cabal?
The man puts his life on the line as a fighter pilot in two wars, and this is how his country treats him in death?
In truth, Ted Williams has no control regarding what has happened to him since his death.
But he did control what he did when he was alive. And what a life it was.
Instead of having school children sing the virtues of a particular President, or a specific proposal, how bout they learn about devotion to ones country by studying the life of someone like Ted Williams?
His life is one than should be emulated and honored. But nowadays, the man is known more as a punchline.
What does it say about a society that forgets Ted Williams but remembers DJ AM?
