Common Ground

There are now three things certain in life: death, taxes, and the American people rejecting gay marriage. On Tuesday, Maine was the latest state where the voters by referendum rejected gay marriage.

So far 31 states have put gay marriage on the ballot for the people to decide. Out of those 31 states, 31 have rejected gay marriage. That's right. 31 for 31. It sounds like Larry Bird at the free throw line or Bernard King in the 84 playoffs from the field. 31 for 31.

Whenever someone tells you Americans are polarized politically, just tell them about 31 for 31. Some things we overwhelmingly agree on.

But you won' hear about that agreement from the mainstream media. You won't hear it from Hollywood.

But you will hear it from the people.

Every time they get the chance to express their views, they say it loud and clear.
