Is It Too Much To Ask?

Were you as surprised as I was to learn that an Army base like Fort Hood, the largest Army base in the nation, does not have weapons? That the weapons are locked away, and only a few MP's carry arms?

Were you surprised to learn that a civilian cop had to come and save the day by shooting Major Hasan? Think about that: an army base had to be rescued from an attack by a lone police officer.

Sweet Jesus in Heaven above, is it too much to ask that our Army bases BE ARMED?
