He Stands Out Already

The Mets have called up the much-admired rookie first baseman Ike Davis from the minors. He even got 2 hits and and RBI in his major league debut tonight. While all Met fans hope his future is bright, there is one thing we can say for certain about Ike Davis: He is a Reggie Cleveland All-Star. What is a Reggie Cleveland All-Star? It's a term invented by the great Bill Simmons which lists professional athletes whose names would seem to indicate that they are a different race or ethnicity than they actually are. Ike Davis joins a list that includes the following:

Marcus Giles
Rulon Jones
Khalil Greene
Reggie Willits
Jared Washburn
Darius Songalia
Sidney Ponson
Grady Sizemore

Lets go Mets.
