Today was opening day for the New York City public pools. Baldman went to the Red Hook Pool opening and stayed under water in an attempt to drown out the horribly sounding upper West Side accent of Elena Kagan. In all seriousness, the NYC public pools are impeccably run when compared to the 1970's. Below is a posting we put on the Stoop last year regarding how the city gets this right:
