Will Nails It

The George Will piece below is a must-read on the power the Teachers Union has over the U.S. Congress. The libs want to send $23 billion of our tax dollars to the states to ensure that teachers don't EVER get laid off in this historically bad economy. Liberal rat politicians are owned by the Teachers Union, and the end result is: (1) teachers can't be fired; (2) teachers can't be laid off; (3) teachers can't be held accountable for their performance; (4) teachers can't receive pay cuts-regardless of the economy; (5) teachers don't have to pay a dime for for their health care plans and (6) teachers get to retire young with full benefits-all on the public dime.

This has to stop or we are doomed.
